An introduction to axiomatic set theory, the foundations of mathematics, and the study of the infinite. We will cover material from Chapters 1-8 of Enderton (omitting topics as time demands), including: algebra of sets, the Zermelo-Fraenkel axioms of set theory, constructions of number systems, countable and uncountable sets, cardinals, ordinals, and the Axiom of Choice.

Our required textbook is Elements of Set Theory, by Herbert B. Enderton (available online via Rutgers Libraries).
